The Nebraska Farmers Union Foundation is a 501 C-3 tax deductible non-profit organization. Its primary focus is to help the Nebraska Farmers Union provide a wide range of educational services to family farmers, ranchers, and their rural communities.
Gifts and donations to the NeFU Foundation are tax deductible.
The NeFU Foundation serves as the fiscal agent for many of the grants administered by the NeFU.
Unless designated for a specific purpose, gifts and donations to the NeFU Foundation are kept in principle with the interest used to support educational activities.

RURAL RESPONSE HOTLINE
The Nebraska Rural Response Hotline is the longest continuously serving Farm Crisis Hotline in the nation, originally starting in 1984 to help farmers, ranchers, and members of the rural community in their time of need. Help is just a phone call away: 800-464-0258.
Nebraska Farmers Union is a founding organizer of the Rural Response Council made up of farm and church representatives that sponsors and oversees the Hotline. NeFU Vice President Vern Jantzen Chairs and NeFU President John Hansen is Secretary of the Council. The NeFU Foundation is a committed longtime financial supporter.
