Help NeFU Foundation Support the Nebraska Rural Response Hotline
The Nebraska Rural Response Hotline is the longest continuously serving Farm Crisis Hotline in the nation, originally starting in 1984 to help farmers, ranchers, and members of the rural community in their time of need. Help is just a phone call away: 800-464-0258.
The Hotline provides a wide range of services including food, financial and bookkeeping assistance, legal counseling and services, and free $75 per hour mental health vouchers with an ag knowledgeable professional counselor.
Nebraska Farmers Union is a founding organizer of the Rural Response Council made up of farm and church representatives that sponsors and oversees the Hotline. NeFU Vice President Vern Jantzen Chairs and NeFU President John Hansen is Secretary of the Council. The NeFU Foundation is a committed longtime financial supporter.
